The Weems-Botts House offers a fascinating history on Virginia's oldest chartered town, Dumfries, in addition to two of the more colorful personalities to have lived here: Mason Weems and Benjamin Botts. Weems, the first biographer of George Washington, was the creator of the famous cherry tree myth and initially used the museum building as a bookstore. By contrast, attorney Botts, best remembered as a member of Aaron Burr's defense team during Burr's infamous treason and conspiracy trial, used the building as his law office

Opened in 1991, the museum houses permanent and temporary historical exhibits interpreting Northern Virginia Piedmont history through artifacts, documents, videos, and images. The Museum houses the McBryde Library and Archives and Echoes, the Manassas Museum Store. The system also includes the Manassas Industrial School, Liberia House, Manassas Railroad Depot, and the Candy Factory Arts Center.

Rippon Lodge was built around 1747 by Richard Blackburn and is one of the oldest houses still standing in Prince William County. This modest house was built on a hilltop overlooking the mouth of Neabsco Creek and the Potomac River and was surrounded by several other structures during the 18th century. Rippon Lodge has recently been restored. It is opened to the public from May through October and for special events.

Located just across the street from Ashmere, Prince William Forest Park is an oasis of natural beauty and human history. 37 miles of hiking trails and 21 miles of bicycle-accessible roads and trails traverse this 15,000 acre piedmont forest. Beneath its canopy lies evidence of human history reaching back to 8,000 B.C.

Leesylvania opened in 1992. Locally the area is known as Freestone Point, referring to the sandstone early settlers took from the property for building. Henry Lee III (Light Horse Harry) was born here at what was then Leesylvania Plantation in Colonial America. This Revolutionary War hero would later father the Confederate General Robert E. Lee of Civil War fame. The park provides hiking trails, camp sites, and fishing along the Potomac River as well as nature and history programs.

On July 21, 1861, two armies clashed for the first time on the fields overlooking Bull Run. Heavy fighting swept away any notion of a quick war. In August 1862, Union and Confederate armies converged for a second time on the plains of Manassas. The Confederates won a solid victory bringing them to the height of their power. The Manassas National Battlefield Park preserves the site of these two battles.

Founded in 1984 by a group of artists and art lovers, the Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory aims to enrich the quality of life in the Northern Virginia suburbs through performances, gallery exhibits and arts education. A theater, an art gallery and classrooms are located in the Center’s historic home in the Candy Factory in Old Town Manassas.

The Jiffy Lube Live Pavilion is located in Bristow, Virginia. The outdoor amphitheater opened in 1995 as the Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge before changing in 2010. The Jiffy Lube Live box office has played host to many different musical acts including Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Rush, and Tom Petty. Currently Jiffy Lube Live can accommodate up to 25,000 guests.
